RAAQUU is a ceramic art brand that was founded in 2020. Created by ceramic artist Adil Abdul Ghani, RAAQUU seeks to make the enchanting world of Raku ceramics more accessible to art lovers around the globe. Each piece is meticulously handmade in Malaysia, resulting in award-winning, one-of-a-kind ceramic art. The exquisite collection includes sculptures, vases, urns, candle holders, plates, and more.

Nearly 20 years ago, Adil discovered his passion for Raku pottery while training in ceramics in Japan. This led him to delve deeper into the art of Raku, ultimately giving birth to the brand RAAQUU. The name is derived from the specialty firing technique used on each piece, known as Raku. This technique is known for its unpredictability, as the ceramics are removed from an extremely hot kiln while still molten and then placed into a reduction chamber, resulting in unique colors and patterns.

The unique finishes, including Carbon Copper, Smoked Raku, Full Copper, Obvara, and Half Copper, have been internationally exhibited and have graced collections in over 32 countries worldwide. RAAQUU's art series glove and oval vases have even won awards for their innovative designs.

All RAAQUU pieces are decorative and intended for indoor use only. They are not food safe, as the matte finish on the copper coating makes each piece porous. Additionally, Raku fired pottery uses a low firing temperature, which means the pieces are not water-resistant. However, a simple cut plastic insert can be used as a water holder for flowers.

To cater to various preferences, RAAQUU's collection includes a range of products, such as the Omoide Urn, Seicho Planter Pot, Koban Vase, and Hana O mini vase. Each piece in the Art Series comes with a signed certificate and an individual serial number for easy identification.

The Tsuri vase, for example, is adaptable to any space, and while each piece is custom handmade, slight variations should be expected. Made from clay and grogged earthenware, Raku pottery's porous nature makes it suitable for decorative purposes only.
