Kosta Boda Poppy Dish

Kjell, a Swedish designer, has a great respect for the glassblowers of Småland and a penchant for creating challenging models. His organic, free-form designs are inspired by the poppy flower, which is associated with Demeter, the Greek goddess of fertility and harvest.

The colors of Kjell's creations symbolize the different color schemes of daylight, rain, frost, and sun. The amazing shape with its unevenness and texture was a challenge to make in glass, but the final result is a captivating and playful piece, filled with bubbles.
